Taylor Swift Scores Biggest First Week Album Sales Of The Decade

I’m not a big fan of Taylor Swift, but this news is just so impressive to me. I’m shocked beyond belief.

Nielsen SoundScan confirmed last night that Taylor’s new album Red sold 1.2 million copies last week, making it the second album in succession for Swift, after 2010′s Speak Now, to sell over 1m copies in the first week. ONE MILLION COPIES. WOW.

Two-Eleven will debut at #3 on the Billboard charts. Those numbers could seem to be a little disappointing considering Miguel’s Kaleidoscope Dream sold a total of 68,971  & Trey Songz ‘Chapter V’ coming in at a astounding 135,000 in it’s first week.

Brandy is one of my favorite voices of all time, so i’ll know she’ll make this album work. With R&B becoming a failing genre, these numbers are very great.

Miguel’s sophomore effort (in which i love) ‘Kaleidoscope Dream’ was released last week. With lead single ‘Adorn’, Miguel’s new album garnered plenty of buzz.

Miguel’s Kaleidoscope Dream sold a total of 68,971 copies in it’s first 7 days, while Adorn sits at #1 on Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for it’s 5th straight week.
